These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, applications and services operated by Artonis, including artonis.io and its subdomains (together, the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About Artonis

Artonis is an editorial and research platform dedicated to Vietnamese art. It presents artist profiles, exhibitions, articles and related material for informational, educational and reference purposes. The Site is not an auction house, a dealer or a valuation service, and nothing on the Site constitutes an offer to buy or sell any artwork, or financial, investment or legal advice.

2. Use of the Site

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to access and view the Site for your own lawful, non-commercial use. You agree not to:

  • copy, reproduce, republish or redistribute a substantial part of the Site or its content without our written permission;
  • use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of others;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, or interfere with its normal operation, security or infrastructure;
  • use automated means to extract, scrape or harvest content or data from the Site, except with our prior written consent (this does not restrict lawful indexing by search engines).

3. Intellectual Property

The content of the Site is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Ownership of, and permitted uses of, our content and the marks “Artonis” and “Artonis Price” are set out in our Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

4. Third-Party Material

Some images, photographs and materials on the Site, including images of artworks, belong to the artists, their heirs, galleries, auction houses or other rightful owners, and are shown for documentary and editorial purposes. Their appearance on the Site does not imply any endorsement by, or affiliation with, those parties. Requests to remove such material may be made under our Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy.

5. Accuracy of Information

We take care to present accurate and up-to-date information, but we do not warrant that content on the Site is complete, current or free from error. Biographical details, market figures and other information are provided for reference only and should be independently verified before you rely on them. Any figures drawn from public auction results may differ from official records because of exchange rates, buyer’s premiums or the way source data is collected.

6. No Warranties

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Artonis will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the content of the Site, including decisions to buy, sell, value or invest, out-of-date information, or any interruption or error in the Site.

8. Links to Other Sites

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including auction houses and galleries. We provide these links for convenience only and are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of those websites.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its date. Your continued use of the Site after any change means that you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Vietnam.
